Hello
I am writing this on my way back from the Franchise Council of Australia National Awards Dinner. It was a wonderful night with many famous and iconic brands taking home awards from this prestigious event. I am very proud to report that our very own Stuart Cook was runner up in the category that recognizes those businesses that make significant contributions to local and international communities.
As many of us know Stuart is CEO of Zambrero, an organization that since inception has had a charter of supporting communities and individuals who don’t have the same opportunities many of us have had in life. One of their programs is a “plate for a plate” where they donate the cost of a meal to a charity that feeds people in the developing world every time Zambrero sells a meal. It is great to see businesses starting with a philanthropic partnership and making that part of their business plan and even better to see a Rotarian at the helm. Congratulations Stuart and the team at Zambrero.
Continuing on our home grown theme this week we have two job talks; these presentations are always interesting and insightful so please come along to learn more about your fellow Coves and the amazing things they are doing in their vocations.
Speaking of vocations please don’t forget the Pride of Workmanship Awards which will take place October 21st; it is important we have a full house. I will talk more about this next week but if you haven’t already, put this meeting in your “must do” list.
Ok Coves, I look forward to seeing you all Friday and of course GO THE WALLABIES!!!
