The Millers Point Youth and Employment Partnership is a vibrant partnership between local residents, business and community groups in Sydney’s Millers Point. The objective is to enhance the lives of young people in this inner city community. An example of the Partnership’s work is Rocksfest, an annual event showcasing the talents of local young people offering Millers Point youth first-hand experience in event management. Rocksfest 2010 featured a screening of a documentary produced and filmed by local young people and a series of short films created by Fort Street Public School.
Millers Point is the residential neighbourhood closest to Rotary Club of Sydney Cove’s meeting place at Circular Quay, and for many years the club has been involved in activities in the Millers Point area. The Club is a Partner in the Partnership, along with business, commercial and government bodies.
